The 30 Belarusian children and their 2 translators, being hosted by Galway families for the last number of weeks, in the final few days of their month long holiday in Galway. Over the course of that month the visitors have been looked after by families spread throughout Galway city and county. The children, who are hosted in pairs, have been entertained by the volunteering host families. They come together once per week as a group for an activity day, organised by the Camp Claddagh committee.
The children are pictured here on one such activity day, where the Rahoon GAA clubhouse was kindly offered to facilitate a disco and Arts & Crafts class. The children had just come from a morning of fun and frolics in Perks Funfair, Salthill with transport between the two venues provided by the Western Veteran & Vintage Motor Club.
