here are a number of different ways in which you can get involved with Camp Claddagh the list below is just an example of how you can help out: - Host Family – The ultimate aim of Camp Claddagh is to bring children from the affected area around Chernobyl to Ireland for rest and recuperation, this can only be done through the involvement of volunteer host families. Guidelines for Host Families - Fund raising – Extensive fundraising is undertaken by Camp Claddagh as the charity is one hundred percent voluntary. The majority of funds raised are used to fund the travel costs of the children from Belarus . Camp Claddagh uses additional funds collected to support the Chernobyl Children’s Cardiac Programme. - Corporate Donations – Make Camp Claddagh the preferred Charity of your company.
Professional Services – During the children’s stay in Ireland Camp Claddagh endeavour to ensure that they have access to professional medical services. Many of the children have never been to a dentist and may not be able to afford the services of a doctor at home. If you are a Doctor, Dentist or Optician you can help Camp Claddagh by volunteering to make you services available to the children during their time in Ireland.
